Back To School
New Works by Gallery Artists
Traver Gallery is pleased to present Back to School, a special exhibition featuring Nancy Callan alongside Natalya Burd, Nathan Lynch, and Dharma Strasser MacColl.
Featured in this exhibition is a focused collection of recent glass sculptures by Callan, just arrived from the artist’s studio. These works explore connections between glass and fabric through soft, sanded surfaces, thread-like cane, and a flowing sense of movement that recalls the qualities of textiles. This exploration continues in Stitch and Fray, a six-panel wall installation in which strong linear patterns shift and break into irregularity.
Alongside Callan’s work, Back to School highlights recent works by Natalya Burd, Nathan Lynch, and Dharma Strasser MacColl, three Bay Area artists who are among the newest additions to the gallery’s roster. Working across painting, porcelain sculpture, and wall-based works, each brings a distinct approach to material, process, and form.
Together, the exhibition offers a focused look at the materials, forms, and ideas central to these four artists’ practices.
