Hana Hillerová, b. 1975.

Sculptor and designer

Lives and works in Czechia.

Hana Hillerová grew up in Prague, where she received her art education at Charles University. Shelater moved to the United States to study at California Polytechnic University, the SkowheganSchool of Painting and Sculpture, and the University of Texas at Austin, where she earned an MFA inStudio Art and directed the University’s Creative Research Laboratory.In the U.S., Hillerová’s work primarily focused on sculpture and installation, including a notablepublic art project of large scale metal sculptures at the Intercontinental Airport in Houston.During her maternity leave, Hillerová relocated back to her native Prague. There, she becameinvolved with the Mothers Artlovers, a feminist art collective focused on creating performances andworkshops for the public.Since 2020, she has developed a fascination with glass as a medium and has been creating lamps,vessels, and large-scale architectural commissions for private clients.In 2025 she participates at the Milano Design Week for the first time, with a group of glass vesselsat the Galleria Rossana Orlandi as well as her table top glass lamps at Prendete i Mangiate, a showat 5VIE organized by Carolina Levi of Spazio Giallo in Rome
