Rick Araluce's Fragments of a Life, EAST Seattle artist Rick Araluce received an Artist Trust GAP Grant to complete his project, Fragments of Life. Rick placed his signature miniature objects at random places throughout the downtown Seattle in September, and now, he has taken on New York City. Sonja Blomdahl and Shelley Muzylowski Allen featured at MoNA Traver Gallery artists Sonja Blomdahl and Shelley Muzylowski Allen will be featured in solo exhibitions at the Museum of Northwest Art in LaConner from October 18, 2008 - January 4, 2009. An opening reception will be held Saturday, October 18 from 2 - 5 pm.

Tacoma Art Museum Announces The 9th Northwest Biennial Participants (Tacoma, WA) – Tacoma Art Museum has announced the artists selected to participate in The 9th Northwest Biennial, which will be on view from January 31 through May 25, 2009. Rock Hushka, Director of Curatorial Administration and Curator of Contemporary and Northwest Art for Tacoma Art Museum, and Alison de Lima Greene, Curator of Contemporary Art and Special Projects at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, selected 24 artists from the 543 entries. Traver Gallery artists Rick Araluce and Debora Moore were among those selected.

Tom DeGroot and Rick Araluce receive 2008 Artist Trust GAP Grants Gallery artists Tom DeGroot and Rick Araluce both received Artist Trust GAP Grants in the amount of $1,500.
In 2008, Artist Trust awarded $119,195 in Grants for Artist Projects (GAP) to 80 outstanding Washington State artists. The GAP program provides up to $1,500 to individual artists for various projects. In 2008, Artist Trust received a record 975 applications from artists working in all disciplines across Washington State.
