Hiroshi Yamano

Hiroshi Yamano's "Scene of Japan" pieces extend his "From East to West" series: a metaphorical exploration of cultural influences. Askew and fluid in form, these works depict a meditative and solitary moment in nature, surrounded by a universe in flux. Yamano's "Scene of Japan" presents delicate studies of the natural world, inviting us in to share in a contemplative moment.

Hiroshi Yamano's Nagare (a Japanese word meaning current) pieces are designed to be slightly askew, creating a sense of movement, or flow, in the work. They are an extension of his popular From East to West series, through which he explores the influence of both Eastern and Western cultures in his life.
