Charlie Parriott

In Little Orphan Army, Parriott presents a series of monochromatic, figurative, leaded glass windows. Reminiscent of church windows that depict biblical stories and saints, these screens play host to a more foreboding and contemporary cast of characters. As in past bodies of work, Parriott's Army is inspired by his close relationship to, and continuing interest in Eastern Europe, with a particular emphasis on the legends and traditions of the Czech Republic.
