Sonja Blomdahl

Sonja Blomdahl, one of our great artists and a leader of the studio glass movement, is having an extensive touring exhibition finishing its run at the Museum of Northwest Art (MoNA) in La Connor, Washington. The exhibition, titled Incalmo/Glass, opens Saturday October 18th and will run through January 4, 2009.

In conjunction with this touring show, the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts (Montgomery, Alabama) has produced a gorgeous full-color catalog with an introduction by Mark M. Johnson, MMFA director, an essay by Susanne K. Frantz, acclaimed writer and historian, as well as an artist statement by Sonja Blomdahl. The catalog is available for purchase through MoNA or at Vetri International Glass.
