Jonathan Mossop
Mossop's sculptural objects and vessels explore the ideas of community and alienation in our society. By presenting the viewer with a crow’s eye view of our world, the artist hopes to encourage insight into our lives from an outside perspective.
“In a society where life’s ugly aspects are hidden behind a façade of properness, politics, and plastic happiness, people often find themselves alone and without answers,” says Mossop. “My work explores the contrast between the human tendency toward isolation and the openness and honesty evident in the communal nature of crows.”
